About Country Made
Angi started Country Made in 2019 as a single mom of four daughters, after what the brand calls years of dreaming, planning and saving. It was meant to be solely a fundraising company. Then Covid hit in 2020, a couple of store owners tried the jerky, and they asked to stock it. Country Made says it is now in more than 400 stores and accounts and growing quickly. Angi and Zach also met in 2020, fell in love and blended their families into a household of eight. Angi still owns the business, which now calls itself a husband-and-wife team and a family-worked company.
What makes Country Made different
Tenderness and smoke. Country Made says every jerky product is handcrafted in a USDA facility to high food standards, from 100% USA beef it describes as always fresh. Most of the beef range isn’t called jerky at all; the brand names those products smoked beef chunks, and their pages promise thick cuts and tender, juicy meat, with the garlic version compared to steak rather than jerky. Fundraising for schools, sports programs and nonprofits still runs alongside the retail accounts.

If you shop by chew, start with the chunks. The original is pitched on real smoke and tender meat, the garlic on a sweet, robust kick, and the teriyaki on thick, juicy cuts with a hint of sweetness; that last one sits beside the other teriyaki beef jerky in the store. The cracked black pepper chunk is described as very little heat and classic pepper flavor, and it lives in the peppered beef jerky collection. Hotter are the smoked habanero, billed as flavor meeting a touch of heat, and the ghost pepper, described as a balance of heat, sweet and flavor; both belong with the spicier beef jerky.
The sweeter chunks and the strip-cut smoked beef jerky, from maple bourbon to honey glazes and a honey-and-jalapeño pairing, have no heat called out beyond what the names suggest; all of it sits inside the wider beef jerky collection. You’ll like Country Made if you prefer a thick, tender chew; that texture is what the brand promotes across its range. Heat tops out at habanero and ghost pepper, and most flavors don’t call out heat at all. The site publishes no ingredient lists or allergen statements, so check the bag if you need to avoid wheat, soy or anything else. No gluten-free or other dietary claim appears on the site, so none is made here.
