About R-C Ranch

Plenty of jerky brands borrow a ranch for the label; this one is run by ranchers. R-C Ranch belongs to lifelong friends Blake Robertson and Ryan Cade, who the brand says have spent more than a decade producing Texas Wagyu with integrity and care. Their cattle are raised on pasture in Angleton, Texas. The breeding program behind those animals was built over years of selecting Wagyu bloodlines for marbling, tenderness and consistency, and according to the brand, each calf born on the ranch represents five generations of planning. R-C Ranch sells at local farmers markets and runs a shop on Airline Drive in Houston. The lineup it offers runs from Wagyu steaks to prepared meals, seasonings, beef sticks and jerky, all under one tagline: raised in Texas, shared at home.

What makes R-C Ranch different

Everything comes back to the cattle. R-C Ranch describes its Wagyu program as world-class genetics paired with responsible ranching, with animal welfare and sustainability put first. The ranch says it owns the number-one EPD marbling sire in the American Wagyu Association’s database, a bull named M6 Itoshigenami 752E, and that his ranking rests on real progeny performance data. The company calls itself family owned, raised by ranchers rather than corporations, and the jerky gets the same billing as the steaks: seasoned dried strips of Wagyu beef.

R-C Ranch flavors we carry

The range we carry stays in Wagyu beef and splits along classic lines. If you want a straight savory bag, the Original is billed by the brand as a classic high-protein snack, sold in a 3-ounce bag with no heat called out, and it fits right in with our original-style beef jerky. If you’d rather have some sweet against the heat, the Honey Jalapeno is described as a sweet honey and spicy jalapeno kick, a Texas take on sweet and spicy beef jerky that also belongs with our jalapeno beef jerky.

Who it's for

If you like a sweet-heat edge, the Honey Jalapeno is your bag; if you’d rather taste the beef on its own, the Original is the one with no heat mentioned. The manufacturer keeps its texture notes to a minimum, so expect a seasoned dried strip and judge the chew for yourself. R-C Ranch makes no gluten-free, keto or other dietary statements about its jerky. If you have allergies, read the ingredient panel on the bag before you buy, because the manufacturer’s online listings don’t include one.
