The flavors of Washington Avenue, anywhere you go: Phơ is a portable version of Philadelphia's favorite Vietnamese noodle soup. Side Project Jerky teamed up with Chef and Self-Styled Pho Addict Sean Magee to create it. The beef is seasoned with star anise, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, coriander, fennel and black pepper, and made with tamari, lime juice and sriracha. On the sweet-to-heat scale it rates 80 percent sweet and 20 percent heat. It began as the first ever Limited Release flavor from Side Project Jerky and proved so popular it is now on the full-time roster.
On the dry-to-soft scale, the texture rates 65 percent dry and 35 percent soft. Born in Philly's food scene, Side Project Jerky makes chef-crafted jerky inspired by global cuisines, small-batch and slow-dried. Phơ has zero added sugar and is gluten free. It is U.S. Inspected and Passed by the Department of Agriculture, and distributed by Side Project Jerky, LLC of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.
