Striplings - Chipotle Pork Jerky, 2 oz

The chipotle builds slow rather than hitting you all at once. Stripling’s Chipotle Pork Jerky is a spicy, tender bite, every piece coated generously in Stripling’s signature pork rub. It is seasoned with salt, black pepper, dehydrated onion, dehydrated garlic, paprika, chipotle pepper and jalapeño pepper. No artificial flavors, no MSG, no nitrites. Customers asked for a pork version of Stripling’s jerky, then asked again. The result was named a finalist in the University of Georgia’s Flavor of Georgia contest.

Each piece is whole muscle pork, trimmed by hand: real cuts of meat, not ground and pressed back into a strip. Every piece gets a dry rub of chipotle seasoning, goes on the rack by hand and spends hours in the smokehouse, smoked, never dehydrated. Through the clear bag the strips show dark brown and flecked with black pepper. Stripling’s General Store, small-batch and making things the slow way in South Georgia since 1964, produces it in Moultrie, Georgia.
