Hickory Smoked is Stripling’s mild jerky: everything the original is, with a touch less pepper. It is seasoned with a dry rub of salt, dehydrated garlic, onion powder and spices, plus natural flavors from spice extractives and no artificial flavors. Smoked, never dehydrated, it tastes like beef and not just like seasoning. It was recognized in Food & Wine as one of the Top Ten Test Kitchen Discoveries.

Whole muscle beef, trimmed by hand: real cuts of meat, not ground and pressed back into a strip. Every piece gets the dry rub, goes on the rack by hand and spends hours over hickory in Stripling’s smokehouse. It is tenderized with papain and fully cooked. Through the window the pieces are dark reddish-brown strips and chunks. No MSG and no nitrites, and it is produced by Stripling’s General Store in Moultrie, Georgia.
