Mountain America Jerky: A Legacy of Quality
The Rich History Behind Mountain America Jerky
Mountain America Jerky traces its roots back to 1872 with the arrival of August Beier in the United States. Since then, four generations of the Beier family have shaped a legacy in the meat industry, from pioneering the “Denver Leg” to mastering the art of both common and exotic meats. This deep-rooted history forms the foundation of Mountain America Jerky's commitment to excellence.
The Beier Family's Meat Crafting Journey
The Beier legacy began with Richard Beier, who established the family's presence in the meat business around 1950 in Blackduck, Minnesota. This tradition of meat craftsmanship was passed down to Larry Beier and then to Dale Beier, who expanded the family business into exotic game meats and eventually founded Dale’s Wild West Products. Today, Dale, alongside his son Paul and their family, continue to produce premium, handmade jerky under the Mountain America Jerky brand.
